Junksmith
All very nice. How did you get such clean rivets on those rose centers?
Rileyrock
they are just dome head rivets i set the rivet in a swage block to keep the head round

John B
they are just dome head rivets i set the rivet in a swage block to keep the head round Would that be an individual sized dome swage? Normally the tools used for rivetting domed heads are the set, and snap. The rivet set passes over the shank of the rivet and is used to tightly close up the items to be rivetted, The rivet snap has the required shape of the finished head of the rivet, this can also be used to support a rivet head allowing the rivet to be peined over from the opposite side. I am thinking that this is how you have attached your roses to the stems. You can also use the snap to give the domed shape to both ends of a through rivet situation, or to provide a domed shape on the end of a rivetted structure such as a set of rose petals onto a single stepped stem as needed if making a single rose on a branch
