BIGGUNDOCTOR Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I attended an auction at a used machinery dealer where they had a pile of large faceplates up to 48". Most went for scrap price $10-$50, Wish I had got some now, as I have thought of a lot of neat projects for them--tables, inset into walkways, workbenches, and yard art. Quote
Bentiron1946 Posted October 24, 2009 Posted October 24, 2009 I have an old boiler front header plate that I use and it sure handy. I use the holes where the water tubes were mounted for hold downs. It sure looks kind of neat with all of the pits and hammer marks on it. I sometimes wonder who will use it next. Quote
Dragons lair Posted October 25, 2009 Posted October 25, 2009 Just ordered 2 plates for a new venture. 4X12X 5/8 and 4X8 5/8. Cheaper than a platten. Ken Quote
