March 12, 20179 yr Welcome aboard new guy, glad to have you. If you'll put your general location in the header you might be surprised how many of the Iforge gang live within visiting distance. If you'll check the time stamp you'll see this thread is almost 6 years old. Unfortunately the company that hosts IforgeIron stinks, big smelly drippy piles of projectile vomit inducing suckyness! Since having to change providers old posts and especially pictures have disappeared. If you ask Glenn or Steve they might be able to access and repost the info you want. Frosty The Lucky.

Thank you Frosty just realized it's an old topic but woundering if anyone still have those drownings?! Thanks for referring Steve and Glenn but unfortunately can't find how to contact them.
March 12, 20179 yr What are you making? Spiral staircase? Handrail? The times I had to build one I made small brackets for each thread and used them to mold the handrail to the stairs. Never fails.
August 30, 2025Aug 30 Has anyone recovered the images. It sounds like GiFerro had a great hands on method and I was hoping to use it. The best I can come up with now is to locate a center axis pole and measure to each of the tread noses. Then measure each rise and run and I should be able to recreate the stair treads in my shop and use that as my template for the handrail curve. If anyone has pictures that would be helpful. Thanks.
September 1, 2025Sep 1 Not to my knowledge. However there is a site that has a good chance of finding them. Glenn added it here and I have used it on several occasions to find missing pictures. I believe I used the Way Back Machine. September 1, 2025Sep 1 Thank you Randy, that link goes straight into my reference files and on CD. . . Maybe a BUNCH of CDs! Frosty The Lucky.
September 1, 2025Sep 1 You're welcome, I hope others will see this. I made good use of it when Photo Bucket held all pictures for ransom when they discontinued the free Tiny-pic photo upload site. They tried to force everyone to take out a $300 subscription to Photo Bucket. Debi found the pictures on the Uri Hofi thread about his hammer & technique when they were lost in one of the forum updates using it. I can’t control the wind. September 3, 2025Sep 3 I haven't been able to find the pics from GiFerro's post at the beginning of this thread. Any suggestions? maybe i am entering the query incorrectly.....
September 3, 2025Sep 3 Most of the pics were lost during a system update a few years ago. Some folk here have had luck finding pics and old posts but only sometimes. Frosty The Lucky.
