Frosty
hey frosty, good points, but what the eck is a plane of rotation? youve got me worried now! From what ive seen in general on smithing (and life ) is theres those that find a reason / way to get somthing done, and those that can always find a reason not to! I find myself slipping into the latter catagory sometimes and have to give myself a metophorical slap, then find a way of getting the job done! You may not know the name but you sure as heck know what it is and why to stay out of it. The plane of rotation is an imaginary but very real zone on the circumferance of a rotating object that a slung opject will travel. The stripe of sandy mud up a bicyclists back on a rainy day is in the plane of rotation. As are the sparks from a grinder and flying objects grabbed by a wire wheel. Having your face in the plane of rotation can, eventually will, be BAD. Frosty
