markb
This is #3 for me. 1084 stock removal Ivory paper micarta, 304 SS pins and bolster 5" blade 4 1/2" handle 10" hollow grind, tapered tang Fit and finish isn't what I'd hoped and one bolster went crooked, plunge is pretty wavy. Hand sanded the blade to 600 after these pics, and cleaned up the handle. Thanks for looking Mark Edited August 12, 2009 by mod07
MonteCristo
Very nice, she is a beauty. I especially like the gradation in pin size. It's a nice touch!
Don A
Very nice work. Did you make the micarta? Don
markb
Thanks Monte Don, the micarta is old ivory paper, it turns a dark yellow with age.
mike-hr
That's quite pretty Mark, Congratulations! How did you machine all the tight radii in the guard? They really catch my eye.

markb
Thanks Finnr Hi Mike, I filed the 3/8" radius in the blade, shaped and polished the front of the bolsters, drilled and finished the blade at the ricaso area then pinned the bolsters after heat treated with 2 1/8th inch pins. Used a lot of sand paper, and buffed.
