August 6, 200916 yr This skinner is made with 1/4" thick 440C that has been professionally heat and cryogenically treated. The tang is tapered. The blade hollow ground. Pins and bolsters are 416 stainless. The scales are desert ironwood and are about as good as I have been able to own. the handle has finger notches and the thick blade and ironwood give a lot of heft and a nice feel to this piece. Thank you for looking.
August 6, 200916 yr Author Ecart has a good eye. This is a ten inch overall with a 4 1/2" drop point blade.
August 6, 200916 yr Real sharp piece, Rich. (Pun intended). Always a treat to see your latest work. Would love to own one, if I had the cash to spare. Looking at your knives, it is apparent you are meticulous in your labor to make them.
