Bill in Oregon
I have a Diamondback two-burner blacksmith forge on the way, and want to set it on a bed of bricks to insulate the wood bench with 1/8-inch steel face from the heat. Will any old fire/fireplace brick accomplish this? Thanks for any advice. (I am assuming it gets kinda hot under the forge.)
Steve Sells
should be fine
Frosty
Ayup, that'll be fine. If it make's the forge too high, a sheet of cement backer board will do the trick too. Frosty
Rasper77
I just got one of there forges today. I just ran to Mutual Materials and got 10 firebricks and it seams to be working great. If you need to know of places to get it send me a msg. Welcome to IFI
