turinsbane
I recently read an article in Popular science, or Popular mechanics. I can't remember which. has anyone else out there seen that article? I remember most of it, I have the sink, fire cememt, fire bricks, but I don't remember how to assemble the rest of it. can anyone find or remember the article, or have one at home, so you can give me advise Thanks

Sam Falzone
My only question is ... wouldn't your average kitchen sink be too deep for a good forge pot? I quess you could load it with refractory clay to make it shallower ... never thought of using a kitchen sink before. Cool. While on the subject of creative engineering ... :confused:Would a bathroom vent fan (set up with a rheostat to control speed) act as a sufficient blower for a coke forge? Cheers, Sam
JohnW
Yes, a bathroom vent fan has plently enough output for a coke forge. A reostat may not provide as good of control as you think, but there's lots written about it on the forum.
