April 15, 200917 yr At a thousand bucks you can spend a couple of hundred more and get a new anvil, with nice clean edges to work with,which will produce way better quality work. Most of the time an anvil like that is worth $300 to $400 bucks.
April 15, 200917 yr Tom the painted weight on the face is 188lb the weight stamp is 285lb.Also 1907 isn't all that old.
