  4. The shed one in your profile pics is the setup I was talking about.

  5. Hello Alec, very nice setup you have there (pics).Do you make things and sell them at markets there or just do orders.

  6. Hello Keaton, from Edmonton. Can you put your location in your profile please. I am one of many Blacksmiths here in Edmonton. There is a guild that meets monthly in Leduc. Most tools you need you can make, careful what you buy for tools. What area of town are you? My daughter and I go to my shop in DT Edmonton, and I am currently learning to make hammers.

  7. Elkford? where is that. and hope all is well in your part of the world. BTW, I got Brian Brazeals' hammer making CD. WOW! learning to make those hammers you see in the pics Lyle posts from students will be cool.

  8. Darn not much room....There is a Blacksmith guild here in Alberta. Up here, we meet every month on the second sat. at Leduc West Antique grounds in the Blacksmith shop. There is also a chapter in Calgary, not sure about the meet place and when. Our web site is getting set up at WCBG.ca should be up soon since the server change. There are a few of us on IFI, but quiet. Glad to find another here

  9. Hello MrJosiah from Edmonton. Coal has a major distribution problem here in Alberta. The coal the guys tell you about is stoker coal or heating coal. It is "ok" to use but it will have alot of ash and possible sulfur. The Home Hardware in Sherwood Park up here carries 50lb bags for 55$. If you have a good sized truck there is Sparwood in BC. They have some very good Met coal...

  10. Frosty, I don't get on much these days so I don't see if you post. I do see you had been on yesterday, that is good, since I wonder how you are fairing these days. Take care of yourself, and keep pounding.

  11. Hi, is this Scott?
