I have a few pics to post; I made two identical (as close to identical as a beginner can make!) sign brackets and a swivel-trivet. I'll post them once I get home. Or you can see them on my FB page.

Well, I took all those classes because I didn't have any other way to forge. :) I just started in September and I'm just now starting to feel like I'm really getting the hang of it. I'm starting to have a sense for where I need to hit to move the metal a certain way... It takes me a much more reasonable number of heats to do things in now...

Holy crips! thats alot of beginner classes. How long have you been doing smithing since sept? Have any pics to share on IFI?

I am traveling to Eastern Connecticut (the "quiet corner") this weekend 4/3/10, 4/4/10 to visit family there. I would love to visit local area forges (preferably on Saturday). I am a relative newbie (I started in September 2009), but I totally fell in love with blacksmithing and I'm eager and excited to meet new people and learn new things. Show me what you're working on, get an extra hand and some good company... Caitie

I'm trying to design my own touchmark and I'd love to see some examples of what other people have done... I know a lot of people do names or initials, but there's a whole lot of creativity here...
