Yes I do plan on using them so wire wheel and oil sounds like the plan. Yes I was ecstatic when he said 4 dollars for the stand and it adjusts as well as the rollers are bolted on so could change the stand for multipule use. Ir use to make into anvil stand which ever happens first.

Got this for a total of 5 bucks today was pretty happy. Question should I clean up the blocks or just leave as is?

And yeah USA is huge have lived in safe areas like JHCC said where dont have to lock a thing but have also lived where everything must be tied down or it's gone.

Thought about hardy but it's too nice looking hammer and handle is very comfortable just going in toolbag.  Used today and it found its home. 

Figured there heavy enough to give some wieght to something and that's a good idea John.Or if worth enough money for better metal. Will have to check. Thanks for ideas.

Wish I would have taken my grandfather's didnt know what they were at the time of his passing. Hopefully some blacksmith got and has put to wonderful use. Funny he worked with metal his whole life but when at home only wood love yeah miss yeah Bop.

This is my first hammer picard swedish style cross peen.

I just started but for next time what if after you placed rebar and before you cement take like a baking rack made from stainless steel or cooling rack then cut to your swage form and place in between your rebar for more reinforcement could help prevent smaller cracks.

Well I got the scrap mainly cast iron but 2 long bolts and 2 pipes see what it ends up as.

M.J.Lampert if you get some performance chalk and use on hands should help with those blisters.

Question was answered metal is junk cast iron take for base possibly.

Very true didnt think about that thanks for heads up. And yes spalting wood mainly used for looks furniture art and ornamental things.  Not intended for any strength truelly the spalting weakens.

Hawk more for show I have few handles for it thought I could possibly get nice display handle. hammer I was going to try a reinforcement I just saw that I wanted to test. I'm aware more brittle just experimenting.
