  1. I use this old one alot smaller but works very well. Key is having that flat side. I have mine on a longer handle than normal I find easier to swing but I stand on one side of the log and strike the other side of the log. Didnt get to work on setting up shop and forge family in from Georgia.

  6. Would steel from an old farm animal pulled plow blade or spring make good chisel material? Spring is flat bar style for engaging depth. Blade is a c shape exaggerated about 2 ft wide one end narrowing to like 3 to 5 inches. Maybe 2 inches thick at most. If not good for anything besides practice?
  7. Like the idea of PL and gravel thanks Thomas going to see what a load will cost.
  8. Forge will be outside of the carport anvil in the front needed storage and space so I will make it work. And already saving for exstinguishers.
  9. Each corner has a 1 foot long ground screw. 2 of the center posts are steaked with 1 foot long spikes. And other set of 2 have 2 giant cast iron bottoms I salvaged from work sitting on top of posts. Have more spikes going in today lost the sun and the my headlamp. And my first project will be more spikes to anchor into ground. Cover is ratchet clamped to frame and ground . Going to drive the 3foot spike and 2 ft spike I have now before work.
  10. Well I got the carport up just in time sun about to go down. Next day off attack my forge to get it finished. 10 feet wide 17 feet deep 9ft 3inches tall perfect for a start.

  14. Top one looks like a tanto and bottom one I not sure but looks like be a good kitchen knife I like the shape. Nice work chad.
  15. Those tables will be gorgeous and wow resin is exspensive. Excellent work sir hope you get a pretty penny. Tongs dont seem that easy to make but I see alot of people making them time for research.
  16. Polar bears fur actually has no color and is hollow which in turn allows their fur to pretty much mimic the color around them and any pigment is stained or dirty. There hairs have no pigment and hollow. Which in turn works with there black skin which draws more light to heat and work with the hollow hairs. Ever seen the polar bear the made friends with sleddogs and visited year after year. There video somewhere bad memory but polar bear and a dog playing is quite funny and bizarre to see. Sorry I full of useless knowledge family tends to say I know everything. Is what it is now I hope i wake up to sunshine so i can coat my forge and fire it before work.
  17. O yes I well aware that. Corperate america counts every penny. Just have seen many just go to scrappers worked at spot like you said trash was cheaper cut loss start new. Where others inventory everything all depends on their size like you said. But now I aware just never connected the dots and now can.
  18. Yeah I figured massive rooftop units. Lots of hoods and refrigeration and ac units everywhere I work have signed the repair bill for some them motors or replacements and never dawned on me lol.
  19. Never thought of that now I am really searching. Have HVAC stuff all over.
  20. Thought that too. Still in disbelief they just through away dont see really any issues with it.
  21. Nothing yet honestly to new to smithing but couldnt let it just sit there in dumpster so lonely. Hopefully a knife once get some practice.
  22. Wow just wow. That people even mess with a moose. Just like those idiots get out at Yellowstone and a bison or elk shows them how small we really are. Dont get why people think wild animals won't hurt them. Like those latest videos of the father taking his child into an elephant enclosure through 3 fences. Common sense just not that common anymore.
