Perhaps somebody on the world wide web will... Can you figure out how to adapt it to angle iron...
Looking at that video, I think the narraration got it backwards.

I will say these are pretty handy too. I know this is fabrication stuff but I think it's all tools to use. The dial is adjustable. Same company.

I guess I think small sometimes. I am a hobbiest. Sorry.

No, that pin thing is not the curve-o-mark countour marker. I mainly asked that as the pin one was new to me. I would buy those machine tools and slip them under the trailer. If I had the sheckles at the time.
There's an old fellow that has a second hand shop near me that reminds me of him. He is nearly deaf and we have to yell at each other. He's touchey too.

Do you see that pin loaded countour thing in the lower part of the picture? I'd like to meet the person that these tools came from. I've been going round testing it on things and they work pretty good for what they are.

There's a few Starrett in there. I am such a die hard tool collector. I really don't need a contour marker but I used these things in the old days.
And it was flee market cheap.

Side tracks are fun, though I have never allowed myself to indulge in them.

What curve-o-mark do you speak of? They made a lot of things. Yep, it's a modest score but go price a new one... It does take the thinking and mathematics out of things and is in my mind just another tool. I should have left the calipers out of the picture. Live and learn.

I would not want to be the one to scrape out the ash pit.

I really like this one. I always know when I see you post a project, it will be a pleasant suprise. It is on my to make list.

I kind of posted it as a joke. But you know, Modify.... Adapt..... Nevermind....

Time well spent. I had to move away from mine.

Something similar happened with the skunk. I figured I drove it out but after a while the smell got worse instead of better, but I kept hoping it would go away. I only stayed in the mobile home part time, it was on the farm and I stayed in town during the week for work. Well, it rotted and I had to crawl under there with a garbage bag and pull it out. In pieces. Along with insulation all over everything.

I would like to hear stories, legend or lore that you care to share too. As long as it's not too spooky. There are Cherokee in NC and if I meet somebody, maybe I can share a tale or two and make a friend. Who knows.

Keep that up and people will think I'm making it up.

How does the weight of the door come into play as far as the chain, cable, rope? I would add a bit of weight to that scroll to keep tension on your chain, cable, rope, and orient where it attaches a bit differently. Nice idea.

Here is a painting by Terence Tenison Cuneo. He painted scenes of blacksmithing, foundry, industry, manufacture, military battle, road construction and more. He incorporated a small mouse in his paintings after IIRC 1954. People used to like to search for them. I wonder if there is one hiding in this one...

I would not even bother with something that questionable. I would move on and find clean material. This topic makes me wonder about who first wondered if galvanized steel was safe to cut or weld on.
It followed me home

I really think the video is wrong.
