  1. Thanks , I will give riveting a try. I have been soaking the blower in a gal. of evapo-rust. I never tried it before, it is working very well.  I have been rolling the parts around to submerge the bits that need rust cleaned off,  between that and cleaning the teeth out with a screw driver I have i spinning.

What Stash said. I always recommend, to not take it apart any farther, as it is very difficult to get it back together due to the wear pattern on all the parts that turn. Also don't over oil it, just enough for the lower gear teeth to run in as it is a splash system and the lower gear will distribute oil to the rest of the parts. As far as the outside, I have used Evap-O-Rust to take it down to bare metal.

I am glad I read this and ThomasPowers post below, I was looking for info on how to remove the gears on a blower I just got that was very ceased. I guess I will leave the gears and shafts in the case. It does need ether the fan replaced or repaired as 2 vanes are rusted. Maybe rivet sheet metal on to the damaged vanes? Open to sugestions.

    Greetings Das,

Be carful building your demo trailer . I started simple and ended up with a solar powered unit with TV, sleeping area, hot and cold water, micro, sit down shower, portal potty etc, etc,

That is awesome! I have been looking at home built campers out of cargo trailers so I can hall motorcycles and sleep in them. It seems really hard to find info on camper windows, doors and pluming supplies. Could you send me some info on where you got your stuff and how you did it?

I really like the looks of that!

    thanks

  4. I know nothing about titanium but a good dive knife should be able to cut wire, rope, anything a diver could get wrapped up in. The knife should match the type of diving, Sport, wreck, Salvage. Good wire cutters on a lanyard make a more useful tool most times.

This is from last weekend, forged a couple hammers. These hammers I didn't have a striker for, but that morning I put together a blacksmiths guillotine, and so I just used that for it. Let me tell ya, those hammers take alot when your are using a hand hammer and not a 12lb sledge! also a plant hanger and my first rams head that is on the handle of a dutch oven lid lifter.

My wife found a Ozark Hoe in an antique store. It was made by my mentor Isaac (Ike) Doss of Berryville AR. It followed her home so I decided to make a copy of it. Made out of leaf spring bolted to the haft. Ike designed it and made many for digging in our rocky ground. Had fun making it and it works well.

my hydraulic forging press either fits on a removable post made to take stake tools or will sit on the anvil, working anything long that is going to be bent and it is normally on the post so it cant tip over

    Do you still sell these?
