Hi Thomas thanks for the advice it's much appreciated And I never really thought about the smoothness up higher but makes alotta sense and that's what I will do my next go around for sure and it is comfy in my hand but I do think a rounder handle wood be better I used linseed oil fir the handle is that a good choice?

2nd knife
Thank you mr powers I appreciate it I like the idea of riveting the tang and the tight fit is what I was going for hahaha but I need to work on my fine wood working skills as well it is filled with epoxy but having it flush with epoxy makes way more sense as the wet weather will probably destroy the handle I may put a coating of polyurethane to seal it all up there is so many different things to think of while doin this haha thank you very much

2nd knife
Mornin guys this is my 2nd knife not perfect by any means but honest thoughts on it would be really appreciated the knife blade is a coil spring from a f-450 quenched in pre heated vegetable oil and tempered in the oven handle is cherry wood stained in Jacobean stain also used wood to cover the hole where the tang was inserted in the handle? the shot gun shell in the end of the handle was just for somethin a tad extra? thanks grammer

First hunting knife
hi little blacksmith thanks i appreciate it ya i did it in a course i took i was actually spossed to have a all metal handle with a fancy scroll at the end for a finger gaurd but was talkin to much and burned the end off the tang hahaha oops so i brought er home and put that handle on er i rekon it turned out pretty good for a mistake haha but anyways i drilled er and filed a bunch of marks in the tang {figurin that wood give the epoxy more to grab too} then i put er in a vise and hammered er on with a rubber mallet i aint a knife builder so im sure it didnt look pretty but it seems to have worked haha ive used er quite a bit and shes solid as can be so im happy with it i also took the dremel sanding disc too get the white on each end just for a little extra flair hahaha hope i answered your questions thank ya sir
