  1. IT'S ALIVE!!!! Congratulations Dave, you have got to be one happy man. The hammer seems to be running very well. Mike Lambiase
  2. The Iron Kiss is (in my opinion) the greatest utility hammer being produced. John Larson is a very knowlegeable guy, and his hammers are built with an exceptional level of craftsmanship. I have worked under all but the 75# hammer John makes and I have been impressed by all of them. They have great control, and the power to move more metal than I would expect for their respective tup weights. If I was in the market for a utility hammer, I would buy an Iron Kiss. Mike Lambiase
  3. Talked to the dealer I bought the hammer from, and they had taken the oiler off for shipping because it was loose. They are shipping it out to Kerry UPS this week. Thats a big sigh of relief. Mike Lambiase
  4. I want to thank everyone that has helped me with this hammer so far. Here are a few shots of the hammer being installed Kerry cutting the studs Picking the 2" base plate Installing the anvil Cutting out gussests and washers on the CNC plasma Grinding the brackets Hammer coming in Hammer in place and welded in Hammer medallion She still needs some more work, but it is all rolling right along. Mike Lambiase
  5. In my opinion, they are the best London pattern anvil ever made... But I am biased. 560#, 140#, 56#... Mike Lambiase
  6. My first anvil was a largeish hunk of semi-rectangular mild steel set up on end, with a stage curtain weight set up on edge for a long face. My second anvil was an import, with 2 hardy holes. It had a cast iron body and a fairly decent and thick steel faceplate. Now I have all Brooks. 560#, 140#, and 56# I use the 560 everyday and love it to death... The 140 is my long term temporary setup anvil (setup for more than a weekend) The 56 is my traveling demo anvil. It is almost embarrassing having a 56# anvil at a demo, all the other guys bring out thier 110#+ anvils and I am just ringin' away on that little hunk of english steel... Mike Lambiase
