Im thinking height will be about top of pocket / belt height. I think she'll clean up nice!

I saw a guy pay over $300.00 at an industrial sale a while back for one...I worked in a pattern shop for years they had several & they would never part with any of them. 

I'm sure it will come in handy. I laid my straight edge on it and it appears very flat. ☺

Picked this up at a garage sale...the guy had it over in the corner and i asked is the flat table for sale...he replied yeah its for sale...I didn't think anyone would be interested... $25.

I'm thinking this is cast steel 24"X 36"...I'll  be building a stand and this will go in the middle of the shop....I'm cranked over this...I'm thinking this weighs in around 200lbs+

What are your guys thoughts on the height of flat tables?

Was thinking I'd weld some tabs on the pot and some angle iron pieces under my table wit stops...I'd like to slide it in from the bottom where its removable.. yes there will be a table for this to mount under. Maybe I should just weld up a firepot...there's a template on www.bamsite.org

Thinking of building a new bottom blast forge using this pressure tank head. 7/16" thick  X 11" across X 5" high...It's a freebie.

I can get any size hole drilled thru the center at no cost... Should I cut it down in height? I'm thinking that 3 1/2" - 3 3/4" tall would be ideal...This doesnt have the tapered floor / side like efficient fire pots. Thinking there's just a little to much vertical wall here. What are your thoughts?

You could make your ownt T nuts and bolts for hold downs with that 1 " spacing.

I wonder the estmated value on the mile long anvil...I guess whatever some anvil envist would pay for it...LOL

Dang frosty its not like you can just pick that 1200 lb thing up and toss it in the back of the ole pickup truck and haul er home...Frosty's Wrecker service to the rescue. LOL

Why would one need such a large anvil?      What would they be used for?       Or are they just fashion items?

It looked like to me that the face is near pocket high with 3 legs under it that may be like 12"-18" high - Overall length i would estimate at 30" - 36" from tip of the horn to heel ...Ive never seen one of this size. That stuff gives me the fever man...That museum would be way kool to visit! 

I've been watching the show Peaky Blinders on Netflix...In season 3 when playing the previews they show a guy hammering on an anvil that appears to be 500+ lbs. I mean this thing is huge...I never seen an anvil so large...Has anyone else seen this and do you think the anvil is the real deal? When i say 500 lbs i may be way under estimating this mammoth? Whats your thoughts on the size?

Hi...I just recently attended the 25th annual Ozark conference  on friday...I attended the blacksmith class for beginners and made these 2 hooks. This is my first blacksmith conference and I really enjoyed it...Those BAM guys are awesome...now I'm a bam guy too! Here's my hooks!

Hey there...Im using a shop built forge with a brake drum and a bath fan for the air supply. I have it lined with brick from a house...Not Firebrick.

Can someone tell me what are the consequeces of using this?

Im currently buring hardwood charcoal and getting ready to convert to coal and it just got me to wondering.

Is this unsafe for any reason? Ive been using it for a while. Should i continue this use?

Found a 4 1/2" vise over the weekend on Craigslist ($135)

Is the spring original...Im thinking i see most vises with a piece of spring steel between the vise legs or what ever their called.

Is this a columbian and would anyone know an approx. age?
