  1. Why isn't it always best? Was the concern speed or durability
  2. Has anyone here built/used a cam hammer? Aka a da Vinci hammer? I'm only having trouble wrapping my mind around how/what to make the cam. I've look through the archives and can't seem to find much on the topic. Sorry if its a dumb question
  3. Was* lol, actually it was in terrible shape when I found it in an old junk pit from the 30s
  4. It was actually an old women's invicta wrist watch. It was in pretty bad shape, so, it became a pendant, since it had 22 jewels
  5. Lol I would have cut my losses and wiggled out its easier just to turn the fence off. I've tangled with them before
  6. Ooo yah electricity is never fun, especially when its evenly distributed over your torso. I love wearing chainmail though, its got a calming property to it. I used to wear a vest when I worked in a gas station, in case someone tried to stab me (again) That book bag on the bottom is actually all that is left of it
  7. I don't have many pictures left but here's some of the various little things here and there.
  8. I did chainmail long before I picked up a hammer. Armor is no trouble In kinda a chainmail nerd
  9. Yah, I had it hanging from the gutter, but it tore it off the wall. I love rain chains and copper tubing would be best
  10. This is a Byzantine Chainmail weave, made from 1/2" spring steel. The rings are 6" in diameter. I'm not sure what to do with it yet, anyone wanna throw an idea at me? I will probably need more pictures.
  11. Thanks, the hard part was keeping a grip on it before it had flat edges.
  12. Is there a special grout to use on wood flooring? It seems sand is the best option, as Glenn mentions. It also may not hurt to get a ground "stomper" to ensure an even surface. Low spots are UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!
  13. I like this idea it suits my style I'm currently situated on a clay bed in northwest ohio. Drainage can be tricky at times. I'm familiar with wood flooring like this, never done it though
  14. Hmm, I don't have any problems with a dirt floor. I suppose it's just my OCD kicking in
  15. I have a VERY basic work space that I'm building, and it has a dirt floor with very fine gravel smushed in. What I wanna do is get some paving blocks so I can have a clean floor. I just can't pour a pad since head room is an issue. Is there a particular kind of block I should use, or does it matter? Keep in mind i'd like to keep cracking to a minimum.
  16. Do you happen to have a good picture?
  17. Swede your right the spring is loose, I didn't know there was supposed to be a wedge there. I'm going to make a replacment. C-1 I played $150, and the jaws are 8" as my eye can see.
  18. What's the best way to mount one of these? Specificly, how tall should it be? In 6'5". Should it be to my waist?
  19. Just picked this big boy out of a pawn shop tool bin. Id like to restore it to its former glory before putting it back to work Thoughts?
  20. Hmmm would a smaller pnumatic hand hammer work the same? With say a flatter attachment?
  21. Those face knockers are totally trippy, and they freak me out. I must have one!!!! Has anyone else ever used handheld pneumatic hammers like that?? It seems highly efficient and the level of detail is, frankly, disturbing lol
