You can see here oil pump - Blacksmith Photo Gallery
this is my oil pump it's a hand pump looks a lot like yours but both mine and yours are missing something ...and that is a lever used to push and make presure to send oil throw the lines althow the hammer sucks oil i don't think it's compelty without a pump and some reasons that i think this way ... the oil lines are on top of the jar ... oil won't go up when the level is sinking and the second one ... mine is not like this mine has a manual pump ...i'll take a pic of it 2morow ...after beeing replaced and others have a engine pump ... so ... i whoud say some parts are missing from that pump -
yeap i have that plate ...strange is that the press came with a spacer that has a 1cm free play and this is not becaus it was use ...

well the levers on the side are
1 it's conected to the foot pedal so that u can control the stroke from the hand also.
2nd one has 2 position
hammer head up-when u start the hammer the hammer head get's puled up and when u push the pedal it strikes down
hammer head down-when u start the hammer the head sits down and when u push the pedal it get's up and then down
i can;t see for shure in the pic but mine has a 3d one at the oil pum to greeas the cylinders(i can't see it in the picture ) -

well ..i'll let it be as it is i think the sword will lose it's character if i'll rust it to mutch and about the price i think i'll ask 100USD for it that will cover the GAS,IRONm and a beer Probably does not even worth that mutch but i need to get the money for the gas:)
-
-
Well... I whoud have 2 questions
1.How to give it an atique look
2.How mutch shoud i charge for it ? beeing my 1st blade (the gas for the forge was 60USD, materials 20 ) and the work ...around 25 hours- lot of thie spent heating it up.Shoud i give it for free to the guy. -

Ok it's not over yet but 2morow i'll start it up took me about one day to make the hood and the pipes and another half a day to make the forge table. The fire-pot was something that i recived half a year ago from a friend of my father and the blower was just sitting arround for me to use it

I bet that u can find many ways to use it :)
-
maiking the burner without welding ...quite difficult do u have a lathe ?
-
Something that i did and i do not recomand doing is ...after 2hours of work i turned of the gas ...the forge bricks where hot and bright and what i did i tried to fire up the forge using the hot air inside and i turned on the gas after a few seconds after the shutdow... It made a BOOM i think it's because there was no fire inside just the heat and the heat made the gas to explode. Nothing happend i was just scared. And about forging temp ... i don't know if u need a blown burner caz i never was able to make one that works good and + i use GPL (the gas you use instide the cars instead GPL =GAS PETROL LIQUID don't know for shure but i think 50 & butan 50 % propan)
