  1. Yes, I agree with Frosty on the regulations. A friend of mine got tired of the snow plow taking out his 4x4 wood post. So he decided to get some 6" sq. tube, cement it in the ground and fill it with cement then mount the mail box on top. Then he had to pay for repairs to the snow plow the next year:(. So just be careful.

    If you are looking for a guild, I would suggest joining OABA (Ontario Artist Blacksmith Association). I just sent in my check for joining. What city are you located near?? From my understanding, the meetings are held all over, but mostly near Toronto and surrounding area.

  5. I am no expert on this topic, but when I went on my course, the hammer we used was very controllable. It had a 75# hammer and the instructor demonstated decorative puchwork and then tapering 1.25" H13 round just by controlling the air flow and adjusting the stops. He sells plans for the hammer if you are interested.
