  1. Greetings Jim,

Ya think that's cold...  -29 in Cadillac Michigan without the wind chill...  I agree lets put our minds on another subject...  Below is a Lodge Dutch oven lifter that I designed years ago that works real well.   No more ashes in the soup..  I have made several for friends and they all love it..

Forge on and make beautiful things

So i came across the youtube vids on Moriss knives and he commented that he does not harden his blades that he aneals them instead ,so my question is he just putting them in a oven at 400 for a hour or is he bringing them to critcal then letting them cool on there on say in ash or vermecalite ?   anyone have any plans on his grinder setup also?

  5. Well went with the Dayton 2C647A blower motor easy install and if it didn't do what I wanted I wasn't out a arm and a leg (like I was trying to find a vintage electric blower),works great will need a air gate if not you could burn up a lot of coke, heated 1 in bar in no time tried to control the air flow by placing a cover over the intake side but didn't take it down much, unless your using a hand crank safe to assume you need a air gate thanks for the help folks time to heat sum iron
