Dave, I just got off the phone with Mac.. I told him about you sending me a PM.. and we are both wanting to get you on the phone and shoot the bull .. I kept up with Larry Keene , and John Curuso. , And Kerry Glenden , for along time and lost touch with them .. I guess time has a way of doing that. Man it sure is good to hear from you.. Plz call me this weekend.. I got At&t phone service, And I ain't sure what Mac has.. Also One other thing.. Well I'm all done with the building and aftier fixing the door I was in The dog house. Yes thats what I call my shop. And was looking around thinking that I need to build me a work table, Anyway this being the last sunday of the month we have a blacksmtih meeting over in Adams Tennessee and I wanted to fire up the forge. but decided I would go to the meeting and fire up next weekend.. Got to the meeting and everybody shows up, And this old feller comes in with two huge work table's Said he got a good deal on the two and wants to donate one for Iron in the cup or Auction it off. Everybody decided it would be part of the Iron In The Hat. This table also has a huge vise that comes with it.. Myself and other's marveled over the table.. And Boy's I wanted the table bad.. So I bought ten tickets and you get eleven when you buy ten .. so I put all except one ticket in the cup.. The wife also puts three tickets in there. That cup was stuffed plum full of tickets. I wasn't the only one that was trying to buy the table. LOL.. Lord I sure could use that Table, I thought.. But I'm the type that don't never win nothing. Everything went then the drawing for the table.. The wife has the winning ticket.. Yes I am one happy feller.. I gotta head out to MS.. in a few, But come next week after I get it in the dog house , I'll take a few picture's and post them on here.

I thought we had some old Marine's on here and Where's the Navy at.. lol.. lets here from you all.. I was off work a couple years ago, I had fell and tore my muscle and all that stuff away from the knee. and I'm a Member of the 101st Airborne assoc. and they send out magazine's and in one of the magazines there was a guy in there looking for a friend that he had in vietnam, His friends name was Charles . And me being laid up with the knee problem I fiqured I would try and help him find his friend. I tried for two month's to find the guy and spent no telling how much time making phone calls. and never did find the guy. There's a special bond thats forged when your in the military and it's nice to be able to find a old friend and share some old storie's..

I'm thinking of adding some metal to my anvil plate so the hardy hole will hold it in place.. would that work. Whats your thoughts/

If you were in the Army ,, where did you spend your time and what was your MOS .. you Might have a old buddy on here.

Bigjohn, did you talk with Paul, I maybe wrong but unless he has moved he lives right beside the place and I think if you told him you traveled along ways' to get there. I think he would have opened up for you. He likes them dollars.

Well I finaly got the blower hooked up and fired up the forge today, I had to punch a hole in the bolt that I'm using for my door latch so I can put a lock thru it . the bar that I'm using will also lock the fold out window. Here's a picture of my three legged anvil stand I made. it was getting pretty warm in there. I started this project back on dec 12 . If my memory is correct. And wouldn't you know it..Winter is over and I've about got er done.. now I'll have a oven to work outta.. lol I'm glad I had the glove on,, its been awhile since I played with hot metal.
