This one is made from a cow elk leg bone. I forged the bevel on the edge and a clip style point. The guard is cut from a piece of structural stainless angle and composite turquoise. Oh yes the gut hook looking thing on the bottom is a beer bottle opener.

This is my second. The handle is the main beam cut from the first knife. The blade is basically the same with the exception of the handle. I left the natural color on the antler, made a copper guard with cocobolo and red with white fiber spacers. The butt cap is the same cocobolo with spacers and two copper pins.

Here you go people. Please feel free to comment, critique, laugh, as you wish hehehehe. This one is made from a rusty leaf spring my brother-in-law gave me. Hand forged on the Buffalo forge and slightly cold blued. I found the bleached, mule deer antler, and carved a guard from brass bar stock. Blade .140 at guard tapers to .065 on the tip. 5" long and 1.75" on the widest. The mulie handle is about 4.75". Overall length is about 10".

njanvilman; Thank you sir for your quick reply. I was curious about that because my Fisher & Norris has the Trenton tag. I acquired this from an elderly friend who gave it to me. He asked his sons if they wanted it first. Neither of them wanted so it is mine. Here are a couple pics.

Anvilman, Is it common for an anvil to have; Fisher & Norris Trenton, stamped on the side?

Jerome good call upon further cleaning i found Trenton in a semi circular pattern above ACME.

That kind of looks like the Fisher eagle holding an anchor, island maybe I'm seeing things. Maybe the sound might give it up. I believe she was a meter maid.......Rita.

Ok how bout my description instead. This thing weighed 120 pounds on the sellers scale. This is an auction anvil. The front foot is stamped 125, I believe this is the manufactured weight. I smacked it on the side with a spark plug socket i had in the back of my pickup and the anvil rings like a bell (i dont know what that means). Anyway the real kicker is stamped on the side is ACME.

Greetings. New to this site and I like what I see there is some awesome awesome work out there! I started out a few years ago making handles for store purchased blades. I purchased a Buffalo forge with attached blower In July of 2013 from a 93 year old friend for $20.00. I started with the "railroad spike" knife, after pounding out a few of these I started my own blade steel using junk steel. I love making the blades using material most see as junk, and wish I had more time for it. I will get some pictures posted once I get it figgered out.
