i am no expert in anvils but that looks a lot like a vulcan to me(cast iron body steel face) these are a medium quality anvil but dont expect it to ring as its body is cast iron,i would hesitate to pay 500$ for it unless i am mistaken and it is a fisher

they look good although i would curve the jaws to accept round stock and draw out the reins but they r still a nice set

i use a rivet forge and i would not want that brake drum in there.Just give it a good lining of your choice(i use plain old clay)and start heating and beating :D

wow i didnt know tiny tongs had so many uses!!!Any way here are pics of my first 5 sets of tongs
first pair these are from re bar:(
3rd pair(the tiny tongs from above)these were from mild
4th pair(personal best)also from rebar:(
5th pair(i didnt do as good a job on these because they r a different kind and are harder for me) these were also from rebar:(
the reason i use rebar is because it is what i have not because its what i want to use
