Can we get a picture of the side logo stamp and serial number?  I'd like to add it to the A&H logo database

How about a picture of the serial number on the front foot under the horn?

That is an earlier vintage stamp.  WARRANTED in an arc over the arm logo, and SOLID and then WROUGHT on each side of the logo.

Trenton made in Germany.  It won't have a serial number.  Base is forged,  not cast.

There were nine different logo stamp styles that Trenton used.  Some differences are very subtle, so if you ever get a chance to post a photo I'd like to add it to the logo database.

Any chance of getting a closeup of the logo stamp area on the other side of the anvil?

Please post a picture of the side of the anvil, horn facing right.  There might be some remnants of the logo stamp still visible.

They stamped their address right on the side, 133 Attorney St.

Boker Trentons do NOT have an hourglass shape to them.  They were forged bases with flat bottoms.

Some very early U.S.-made Trentons also had forged bases, before switching to the first style of cast base.

On top of the purchase price, shipping, import duties, and brokerage fees are not cheap.....

That is a Fisher Blacker anvil, made for the Blacker power hammer.  The cutout was for the transversing hammer head and allowed half on, half off hammer blows.

Do a YouTube search for Blacker Power Hammer and you'll see it in action.

There were at least 5 different anvil makes that made anvils for the Blacker hammer over time.

Possibly Henry Wright, doubtful it is American made.

Possibly a Samson.  See if there's any stamping on the cutting table, most often it is obliterated from use.

The text in the rectangular box on the right side is "PARAGON".

It was made by Soderfors in Sweden specifically for a U.S. import company, Horace Potts Co. located in Philly.

Southern Crescent anvil, it is not a stamped brand, it was raised at one time during the casting process.

Early 1940's according to. A.I.A..

For that logo style the serial number is more likely 47112.

Also later ones tended to have the weight on the front foot at times more often than earlier production.
