    Keltic Flat Horn

This is a smaller flat horn where the horn is put in a vise while on the cow and grown flat! This type of horn or Flask was very sought after by Mead drinkers. The Scotish design is insized on the front and coloured black, the bottom after recieving a wooden plug is covered with matching layer of horn that can then be cartouched. The tip has a honey ring added on and stopped with a silver fish head (drinkers will understand!) and chain.

    Drinking Horns

The tip also has another black tip added to it. And I'm asking $150.00 for it. The horn is held to the stand with a silver offset strap that fits into a silver slot in the top, so it can be picked up and EMPTIED ahhHHH! BURPPPPP! And like all my horns is lined with jellcoat

    Drinking Horns

This is another drinking horn commission for George Bailey, thats why his family crest is on it. It holds a full litre of BEER or MEAD...Ahhh mead! Oh ya! The tip was achieved with hand files and a whole bunch of sanding and polishing. The lip has a pewter ring attached. The horn holder is forged steel and copper, with a neat little twist on the legs. The emblem was a combination of Scrimshaw and colour.
  6. The poor warriors in the local group were real thursty after all that practising, so I helped out by making drinking horns. And yes they can go in the gallery, the stand and the embellishment on the lip of the horn are mild steel. The inside is lined with jell coat(alcohol, coffee, or soft drinks)bees wax sticks to the teeth and tongue. Jell coat don't!

The counterweight was a bit of a problem to make, so I finnally locked it into a hand drill and finished the shaping with a file

    Sword Repairs

This was a really nice blade but the handle did not do the blade justice. It also needed to be shortened for the customer for a better balance. I rehandled with a hardwood, padding, leather, and silver braided wire. I added a shield to a new D guard and then the counterweight.
