  1. That is a great deal. I think I am going to spend the summer in the scrap yards. Northeastern Ohio has so many and I never head out to look. I will this year though, a second fly press could be cool.
  2. Great deal I wish mine was the real deal Beverly Shear . I found sharpening the blades easy on my belt sander, 2 sides per blade to concern yourself with, one flat, and one you rock on the belt. Jelious!!!
  3. Kind of on topic. http://www.wagnercompanies.com/Flowdrill.aspx
  4. I worked at a place that had on like this and it kicked but. I dont know if this one will though. Looks the same. http://www.harborfreight.com/extension-cord-storage-34074.html
  5. I have a lot of time on one of these and would love to have one myself. http://www.doringer.com/d350sa.htm
  6. I made a few tools for it last night out of air chisel bits, made a fixture plate for it, and bolted it to the wall. I messed around with it and textured some 1/4" thick mild steel with it cold and no heat, which was the first time I ever used one. It is easier than I thought, and very precise. I like how the depth of the bit's penetration can be controlled with the check nut. One great thing about it is that I can use it a 2am with out my neighbors knowing. :)
  7. What do you call this Oxi Fuel set up? It starts at 6:49. Is it home made or can it be bought? I never seen one befor, Thank you for your help. :)
  8. Yesterday or Friday the 8th a fly press showed up at HGR, and on Saturday morning I picked it up. So now I will not be making a press I will just be making dies instead. I made the stand today with steel I had, and it is solid, stable, and level. Thanks for the help guys here are some pix...
  9. Will a ball screw work for a fly press or will it blow apart? I found a few that are the size I am looking for I just am unsure if they will last. Also am I shooting for 2" per revolution for a screw? The ball screw I found traveled about 1.250" per revolution. Thank you for your help...
  10. Sorry I live in Parma Ohio North Eastern Ohio. I would be willing to drive 6 hours for a deal.
  11. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150487543488&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT This one is a few hours away, and the price is to high for me. Does the screw look to slow? Id contact him and ask if I could draw his screw if I thought it was a good thread. Thank you for any info.
  12. Thank you for the info guys.I do like the old school look of this punch press, and the price, but I don't want the noise or to be limited with its use. I really want a small-medium fly press because it is quit and versatile. But I have not found one in my under $500 price range locally. I am hoping to walk threw HGR one day soon and find one for $25 because they don't know what it is. Well see I am also considering making one but the screw seems like a hard thing to find. If I had a blue print for a good screw or new of some one local that had a good screw press that would let me make a blue print Id be set. The press in this thread is the size I would be happy with: Let me know if any of you have any Ideas. Thank again...
  13. What are you using at 1:43 to heat?
