swordsmith
Hi... My name is Jeff, and I am new to this site. I am 24 years old, living in Kansas City, MO. I just signed up to the site before writing this post. I am trying to learn more about the trade in Blacksmithing. I have always been interested in learning it, but just have not yet. I am going to look into taking a Blacksmithing workshop here within the next month or so. Slots are very limited, so I am trying to get the first available. I have been wondering if this would be a career field, or more of a hobby field. I am open to any advice, comments, or suggestions. I really appreciaite any and all feedback. Thank you so much! :)

Frosty
Welcome aboard Jeff, glad to have ya. It's a really tough craft to break into on a professional basis. Your best bet is to keep the day job while you learn, build skills, tools and a niche for yourself. Then if you do make a niche and still want to go pro you won't be doing it from the bottom of the hill so to speak. Frosty
