I live in the back part of San Diego (East County) and have been going to blacksmiths class in Vista CA, at the old steam engine museum (cbavista.com)
After making my own fire poker, Chisels, etc, I decided it was time to make my own forge. This is the first time I have really gotten excited about something in a very very long time haha.
I have just completed construction of not-too-shabby looking forge from an old oil drum, some fire bricks, and some fire mortar (all free thanks to craigslist hehe) and I have some scrap metal that I will be turning into tools very soon. I will post pictures as soon as I make something useful haha. Hi all!
