ironcreations Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Hello, nice forum, I am mostly on gun boards, and have been doing blacksmith work also for years. I am self employed and sell gun parts, mostly older stuff from WWI, WWII. I am to the point of needing to build a bigger coal fired forge, and was looking for some new ideas. The one I have I made about 15 years ago, and is starting to get a bit thin on the bottom. I need to build something a litle bigger and longer for some welding. i know gas is the thing, but I like coal, and I have a bunch. I will be looking for some ideas, building it is not a problem. Thanks, I will post the question on one of the other threads. Quote
Frosty Posted February 7, 2009 Posted February 7, 2009 Welcome aboard, glad to have ya. Nothing wrong with coal, except maybe the smoke, smell and such but if you have understanding neighbors and more importantly wife what the hey. So, what do you need size wise? What shape fire do you need? And so on, the more we know the more suggestions we can make. Frosty Quote
