December 14, 200817 yr Was working on a second 1/4 x 1" ring 22" dia when it broke in several pieces. The tension "arm" is made of nylon not steel. Glad I only paid .99 cents for it on ebay.

December 14, 200817 yr Author I know I should have know better. But I figured the directions said it could so why not...
December 14, 200817 yr Have not tried 1/4" on mine, I don't think they are even rated for 1/8"? I have used mine for about 2 years now with few problems, they make reasonable rings that can be tweeked to round them up.
