Greg C.
I was thinking using a drill to make the cut, but then it would be limited to the size of the bit. Let me know, Chuck

Robert Mayo
Start with two pieces of wood, trace your blade on both of them then chisel, carve out half the thickness of your blade from each one. I glue and pin them together then mark your blade on the outside, trim and form to the desired shape. Bob
brucegodlesky
I use a forstner bit to clean out the bulk of the wood then clean it up with a chisel.
Woody
A nice touch is to cut the blade shape deeper than necessary and then line the sheath with leather before gluing the two halves together.
brucegodlesky
Another neat touch is line the throat with a piece of velvet that has a pretty stiff nap. It will help retain the knife in the sheath.
