To good to be true

Hello everybody just joined here. My question was if anyone has ever done business with blacksmithanvils.com?
The have a #4 fly press for sale for $550 discounted from $1700.  I cannot find any feedback on them and thinking they are a scam sight but slightly hopeful.
I just wanted to ask the community if anyone had known of them. Thank you all for your time and forge on!!!

Hello Billy and welcome!  please read the pinned "Read Me First" topic if you haven't already.  Also this is a world wide forum with members from everywhere on the planet.  If you put your general location in the header we'll know where in the world you are.  Sometimes the answers to questions depend on your location.  Like there may be someone down the street from you who happens to have a fly press available....

That site looks like someone put a bunch of ads and links together in the hopes of making a few pennies off the clicks.  I saw lots of links to Amazon and Northern Tool, but nothing they're actually selling.  I'd stay away from it.

I believe that was the site I was looking at an anvil on last week or the week before. It seem too good to be true, so I did a reverse image search and found the exact image posted 3yrs earlier with the same description text with the original price struck though and a new  50% off price.

The thing the tipped me off (aside from the crazy deals on everything) was the site format was the same as a leather site that also had prices that were too good. I researched that one and found it to be a scam also… Buyer beware!

Keep it fun,

David
