GeoffroyBelgium
Hello, I'd like to share with you my first experience in making a laminated steel. I'm particularly happy because in the middle of the process, I though I missed the welding process. First welding not very good: But I decided to continue the process after removing the parts with poor welds. And finally: off site links removed
George N. M.
Looks good. Did you do it by hand or use a power hammer or press? They look so uniform I suspect a power hammer or press. Do you have a plan for what you are going to make from the billet? Thx. George
GeoffroyBelgium
You've got the eye! Yes, I'm starting to use a press that I've almost finished building. There's still some work to be done on the hydraulic control. But it's usable. I'm still combining a lot with the hammer because I'm discovering this tool. I'm thinking of making a blade for a folding knife. I don't have much steel in this billet.

Hefty
That's a great first folder! Great work on the press, the Damascus and the knife! Cheers, Jono.
