  3. You've got the eye! Yes, I'm starting to use a press that I've almost finished building. There's still some work to be done on the hydraulic control. But it's usable. I'm still combining a lot with the hammer because I'm discovering this tool. I'm thinking of making a blade for a folding knife. I don't have much steel in this billet.
  4. Hello, I'd like to share with you my first experience in making a laminated steel. I'm particularly happy because in the middle of the process, I though I missed the welding process. First welding not very good: But I decided to continue the process after removing the parts with poor welds. And finally: off site links removed
  5. Thanks for your welcome. Yes, forging plated metals is not a good idea. I'm doing that outdoor (my forge is always outdoor). But still. I will add some warning in the website and perhaps even stop to promote that approach. Thanks Frosty Yes the burner of my small gas forge is not efficient. Not enough air. I took some inspirations here and also on forgefr.com to make a burner with an other design.
  6. Hello, I'm passionate about DIY in general and metalwork in particular. You can find some information about my blacksmithing activity in my dedicated website (www.forgehaiedesloups.be). It is in french. Here is a link to the google traduction. Happy new year!
