Rob Browne
Today we had another go at knife making. My youngest son ((yrs) was my offsider and we worked on another primitive knife. This one with a smaller blade and a double twist in the handle. He is very proud of himself and is going to give it to his mother. He was my number one "helper" and got in a few "well" placed hits that changed things a bit but overall its a great effort and he learned lots. :D
Dave M
it is good to see skills being passed on. It will be some thing he will always remember and look back on.
Thomas Dean
Gotta be a good kid, he's got RED hair!! This is something he will remember the rest of his life, not so much the knife, BUT time with Dad! PRICELESS!!

Frosty
Looks like your boys are a Cut above average. It makes me wonder where we'd be if all parents got their kids into making things at a young age. It may not take or may take decades before a kid decides making is better than breaking but getting them started young sure tips the scales in the right direction. Good on ya. John Martin
Hehe, my little brother can get a few "well" placed hits that need to be err smoothed out later. Great job there. Your family defiantly has smithing in its blood.
