November 23, 20232 yr The shop where I work has purchased a Fairbanks model E. we have been working on the treadle linkage. Does anyone know how to adjust brake? thank you!
November 24, 20232 yr PIctures would help a lot. I'm not familiar with your power hammer but I wasn't with mine when I rigged a brake and adjuster. I may not know how it's supposed to be done but bet we can figure it out. They were designed to be easily maintained, of course the definition of "easily" was a bit different back when. Still. June 23, 20242 yr I can't open your video's, says No video with supported format and MIME type found. Might just put in some still pictures. I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s. Semper Paratus
June 23, 20242 yr It's a dead link for me too. If you put your general location in the header you'll have a much better chance of meeting up with members living within visiting distance. Who knows one might even know how your hammer works. Hmmm? Frosty The Lucky.
June 30, 20242 yr Author IMG_9423.mov Thanks guys! birmingham Alabama. not sure what the issue is with the video. IMG_9424.mov This hammer seems to have to much movement back and forth of the entire rotating assembly. The shaft is located by the belt pully. Could the pully be shimmed to eliminate excessive movement in the shaft. I appreciate y’all’s input!
June 30, 20242 yr There is a limit to the size file you can post on the forum. Posting directly off your smart phone is WAY TOO LARGE a file. If you don't want to reduce them to within the site limit then post a link to a site where we can watch. Telling us where you are in one post won't stick in our memories once we open another one. We're blacksmiths not mentalists! That is why I suggested you put your general location in the HEADER so it appears under your name on every post. As soon as you put your location in the header it will appear on all your posts to date so you don't have to tell us you did. Frosty The Lucky.
