we have been working on the treadle linkage. Does anyone know how to adjust brake?

PIctures would help a lot. I'm not familiar with your power hammer but I wasn't with mine when I rigged a brake and adjuster.

I may not know how it's supposed to be done but bet we can figure it out. They were designed to be easily maintained, of course the definition of "easily" was a bit different back when.  Still.

 Rebuilt treadle linkage and it seems to be working well.

I can't open your video's, says No video with supported format and MIME type found. Might just put in some still pictures.

I can't control the wind, all I can do is adjust my sail’s.

It's a dead link for me too. If you put your general location in the header you'll have a much better chance of meeting up with members living within visiting distance. Who knows one might even know how your hammer works. Hmmm?

not sure what the issue is with the video.

 

This hammer seems to have to much movement back and forth of the entire rotating assembly. The shaft is located by the belt pully. Could the pully be shimmed to eliminate excessive movement in the shaft.

There is a limit to the size file you can post on the forum. Posting directly off your smart phone is WAY TOO LARGE a file. If you don't want to reduce them to within the site limit then post a link to a site where we can watch.

Telling us where you are in one post won't stick in our memories once we open another one. We're blacksmiths not mentalists!
