Hi all. I have a opportunity to buy a peddinghaus #12 anvil. Are they still a good anvil and worth the price and would they hold up to say a Nimab or Refflinghaus.

Actually being a forged steel anvil they should be even a tad better than a cast anvil. When you get into the higher grades it comes down to more what features you would like in an anvil and what you can pay for.

Is a #12 the 275 pound double bick model? That's what I use for my main shop anvil. I don't wish for anything else, it's a fine unit.
