JHCC
Between 1916 and 1923, John and Elizabeth Severance donated a large collection of arms and armor to the Cleveland Museum of Art. In 1924, they had a catalog of those donations printed in a limited edition of 300; one of those catalogs is available online at https://archive.org/embed/SeveranceCollection1924. ThomasPowers
I have 3 volumes of the Wallace Collection Catalog and a number of other Museum works. One thing to be wary of with early catalogs is that a lot of armour was "repaired", often with other pieces that were modified to fit; sometimes not so well..., in the Victorian era. Definitely a situation where modern conservatory and research is a must! Of course on the metallurgical side of things Alan Williams has a 900+ page book on the metallurgy of armour all based on *modern* research: "The Knight and the Blast Furnace" , I've read his much smaller companion book; "The Sword and the Crucible" cover to cover and am planning an attack on TK&TBF once my retirement goes "thud".
