November 15, 20214 yr I was making a basket for my anvil stand and cutting some 1 1/2" bed angle when this happened. 14" standard off-the-shelf HF 14" chop saw. I've never had this happen before. November 15, 20214 yr Looks like it was intended for fairly light duty as the metal "studs" are quite thin. I had fun trying to get my students into the leather aprons and safety glasses yesterday. I wouldn't start class till they were geared up; sort of like teaching our kids to wear seat belts.

I've been using this type for a long time. I think I got a couple 10 packs several years ago. Never had fly apart like that.
