jayco
Otter Bob, welcome to Iforgeiron. Knowing which end 'not to touch', is a lesson I myself have to re-learn from time to time. Enjoy your stay!
firegnome
It is amazing as to the heat to weight ratio involved in blacksmithing . THe hotter it is the heavier it gets till you can not hold it at all. I never say wow that was hot when I drop it I say man that was heavy. otterbob
Thanks All for the welcome, I replaced the stump under my anvil yesterday. Its had thousands of miles of travel and 25 years of use but was still in good shape. Its me that needs the change! after back surgery a few years ago and tendentious for the last 8 months I am raising the hight of the anvil.
