My vote is for a Columbian; looks like a replacement screw/screwbox---too small. Neither cast iron or cast steel, drop forged in dies leaving the flash marks.  Of course I am assuming it's in the USA. (And not in one of the other 100+ countries that participate here on the World Wide Web, you ask about a used car in Russia and Lada is a better bet than a Ford, and vise a versa in the USA...)

I'd wonder if the weld was a repair; vice looks like it's had some hard times!

Woo Pig Sooie!   My first degree was from UofA, Fayetteville; as was my Father's, Uncle's,...  We're from the NW part of AR even though I've ended up out here by a circuitous route.  I still have 13 acres of family land in Cedarville, (up 59 from Van Buren)
