Drive wheel diameter?

Recommended Posts

I made a pulley for the Star power hammer out of an old V-belt pulley and three glued laminated layers of wood. The V-belt pulley is bolted to the wood block, turned on the wood lathe to 4 5/8 in diameter. It worked very well with the 3 in flat leather belt, however the diameter of the pulley was too big and ran the hammer faster than I was comfortable with, so I switched to a 2 in V-belt pulley and V-belt to get the BPM I wanted.

Just another idea for anyone who needs a pulley for their hammer.

U any good with 240v electrics Buzz?

No.  I know that in the US we run on a different frequency than in the UK.  Whenever I have to deal with anything other than our normal 110v circuit I do a lot of reading and/or consult with people who know more than I do.  I'm certainly not confident in giving anyone else advice in that area.

IFC, that's another good idea I'll be borrowing when/if I have to make another drive wheel.
