I have had this for a while but could not find any info on it. Its 250lbs and flat on the top. A fella saw it and said he thought it was an Anvil used by the Railroads, anyone have an idea on this? Thx John

What country is it in?  In the USA railroads used a wide range on anvils the only ones even slightly specific would be the ones used for the Blacker Power Hammers  that seem to have been used commonly in RR shops. I know mine was as I talked with the guy who's Uncle had worked in the shop and got the anvil when they shut it down.

Any large anvil could have been used in the railroad industry.  There is nothing on yours that obviously points to anything in particular.
