ThomasPowers
I was at the used book store last night and found a copy of the re-printed Sears and Roebuck 1908 Catalog for 75 cents. It has a lot more blacksmithing stuff in it than the 1897 catalog. I noticed that their "cheapest" blacksmithing kit used an anvil with a steel face and cast iron body. I thought the engraving looked more like a Fisher than a Vulcan to my eye, anybody know if Fisher made anvils for them back then? Interesting to see all these *rare* antiques being sold back then on the cheap listings (and by the dozen to boot!)

ThomasPowers
Funny I had the exact same thought---I started roughing out a story about someone running a time trading business where they would order a lot of stuff and then transship it forwards. Getting a good explanation for the down timers was a key part
