Kenny O
Hello all I have a model 300 blower that needs to be rebuilt. I am going to attempt it, but I thought I might read the directions first... But there are no directions, and I don't usually read them anyway, and with disastrous results I might add. So, I am just asking for any information that might help in this process. Thanks
J W Bennett
What is the main ailment? Why the rebuild? Maybe it can be adjusted or the lube flushed out and cleaned up. Any Pics? John
Kenny O
It jams when I start to crank it, It wont go forward or back, then I have to mess with the fan to get it to release. I did notice there is a 2" carriage bolt holding one of the sprockets to the shaft. So I was hoping for a schematic to help me figure out the proper hardware, I will take some photos tomorrow for better visuals. Here are the photos of the carriage bolt, both top & bottom. What should be in that place?
solvarr
Mine (a 400) has the bolts through the gears the same way except mine has square headed bolts. can you rotate the flywheel a full 360? On mine there is a "screw drive" hooked to the back of the flywheel that the gears makes the flywheel/blower wheel turn. If you have broken tooth or other scrap down there it can cause your problem. Really odd thought. Have you turned it upside down and fiddled with it? I had a loose bolt fall out of one I turned upside down and fiddles with about 10 years ago and it worked great after that. It's been awhile since I checked this thread but you pinpointed the problem!
