November 3, 20169 yr gote, It's possible to rotate the head to strike a corner while holding the end of the handle. It's just less rotation of the handle than switching from flat face to a cross pein. Landing the blow isn't the hard part, recovering from the wonky rebound is.
November 4, 20169 yr Yes absolutely if you mean the lateral "edge" of the hammer. I was thinking about using the far edge which seems to be advocated by some smiths.
