ledhed
I'm hoping that one of you folks can help me to identify this vise that is for sale here in Eastern Canada. http://www.kijiji.ca/v-art-collectibles/fredericton/vintage-7-1-2-blacksmith-vise/1187954592?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true Can anyone help, please? Frank Turley
It might be a Peter Wright, except the vee shaped spring is probably not original. The rest of it looks really nice, and vises that large are hard to find.
notownkid
Is that the way one measures a vise by the opening measurement? I thought it was the width of the vise jaws. 4 1/2" isn't all that large of a vise. Worth $325? not in my money. But if you want it and have the money to spend go for it. Frank Turley
Yah, I misread the description thinking it had 7 1/2" jaws. Sorry. The asking price is higher than a cat's back.
