Here in Utah I've been looking for an anvil for a reasonable price and ran across a guy not too far away selling this anvil. Only marks from photos I can spot are the WING and 100. I assume it's 100 lbs but I cannot find anything about a WING anvils? He's asking $250 which seems a great price on the current market for just about anything, any suggestions?

100 could also be kilograms...   The damage to the face, not only the trough but the hammer dings make me very suspicious that it may be a cast iron ASO in which case it's over priced by a factor of 5 or so.  Take a ball bearing and run the test on it and see!

It is definitely a cast anvil.  You can see the parting line on the face.  What it is made from is the determining factor whether it is a user or an anchor.  Cast iron= junk.  Steel = good.
